We’re looking for an Urban Drainage Modeller to join our growing teams across Warrington, Manchester, Birmingham, Derby, Cardiff or Bristol. You’ll work alongside experienced modellers, engineers, environmental specialists and digital experts, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects and technical challenges.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Urban Drainage Modeller, you’ll contribute to the delivery of urban drainage and wastewater modelling projects, working alongside experienced technical leads and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective solutions for our clients.
You will:
- Undertake urban drainage and wastewater modelling activities across a range of UK water projects.
- Develop, update and analyse hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM and associated GIS tools.
- Support modelling assessments covering wastewater networks, storm overflows, flooding, water quality and network performance.
- Analyse and interpret modelling outputs to help identify network issues and potential solutions.
- Prepare technical information, reports and other project deliverables to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with modellers, engineers, environmental specialists and client teams.
- Contribute to project meetings, site visits and technical workshops where appropriate.
- Continue developing your understanding of hydraulic modelling principles, industry standards and best practice.

ABOUT YOU
Essential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
- Experience in urban drainage, wastewater or hydraulic modelling.
- Practical experience developing, working with or analysing hydraulic models.
- Experience using InfoWorks ICM
- Good understanding of hydraulic modelling principles and wastewater networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret technical data and modelling outputs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage your own technical tasks.
Desirable
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
- Experience with flood risk, storm overflow, water quality or wastewater modelling.
- Experience working with UK regulated water companies or within AMP programmes.
- Interest in digital innovation, automation, data analytics or developing improved modelling approaches.
