With continued investment across the UK water sector, there is a growing need for innovative approaches to managing wastewater networks, improving environmental performance and building resilience for the future. At Stantec, our Urban Drainage Modelling teams are at the forefront of this work, using advanced hydraulic modelling and digital solutions to help clients understand complex network challenges and make informed investment decisions.
We’re looking for a Senior Urban Drainage Modeller to join our growing teams across Warrington, Manchester, Birmingham, Derby, Cardiff or Bristol. You’ll become part of a nationally recognised community of more than 175 modelling specialists, working alongside experienced engineers, environmental specialists and digital experts.

- Interpret modelling outputs and provide clear technical recommendations to support client investment and operational decisions.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, environmental specialists, modellers and client teams to develop practical and sustainable solutions.
- Support project planning, programming and the delivery of high-quality technical outputs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced modellers, helping to build capability across the wider team.
- Contribute to digital innovation, technical best practice and improvements to modelling processes and approaches.
YOUR IMPACT
The work you deliver will help water companies better understand their networks and make informed decisions about investment, performance and long-term resilience. Your modelling expertise will contribute to solutions that address flooding, storm overflow impacts, water quality and environmental compliance, helping create better outcomes for communities and the environment.
You’ll also have an important role in strengthening our Urban Drainage Modelling capability, sharing your experience with colleagues, supporting developing modellers and contributing to innovative digital approaches. With exposure to a wide range of projects and clients, you’ll be able to broaden your expertise while developing towards future leadership opportunities.
