This is an exciting opportunity for a landscape planning professional looking to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of development and infrastructure projects across the UK.

You’ll work alongside landscape planners, landscape architects, environmental specialists and wider multidisciplinary teams, providing landscape planning and environmental assessment expertise while helping to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

About The Role:

As an Associate Landscape Planner, you’ll play a key role in delivering landscape planning projects, providing technical advice and supporting project teams through planning and consenting processes.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and contributing to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and landscape planning commissions.
  • Providing landscape planning advice throughout the development and planning process.
  • Supporting major development and infrastructure projects across a range of sectors.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, assessments and supporting planning documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with landscape architects, planners, environmental consultants and engineering teams.
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, consultants and other project partners.
  • Managing your own workload and contributing to the successful delivery of projects to programme and budget.
  • Supporting bids, fee proposals and business development activities.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues, helping to develop technical capability within the team.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and profile of our Landscape Planning team across the UK.

Your Impact:

You’ll help shape how landscape and visual considerations are integrated into some of the UK’s most interesting development and infrastructure projects.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence projects from an early stage, providing practical and commercially aware advice that helps clients navigate planning and consenting requirements.

You’ll also play an important role in developing our Landscape Planning capability in Birmingham and Bristol, building relationships with clients and colleagues and helping create opportunities for the wider team.

About You:

We’re looking for a landscape planning professional with strong technical experience and a genuine interest in developing their career within a growing multidisciplinary consultancy.

You’ll have:

  • Professional experience in landscape planning and environmental assessment.
  • Strong experience of LVIA and landscape planning principles.
  • Experience working on development and/or infrastructure projects.
  • A good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant landscape planning policy and guidance.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients and project teams.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and contribute to project delivery.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • An interest in contributing to business development and growing client relationships.
  • A relevant degree and, ideally, membership of the Landscape Institute (LI) or another relevant professional body.
