The Opportunity

The UK water sector is entering a period of significant investment, creating exciting opportunities for experienced Clean Water Process Engineers to work on some of the country’s most important water infrastructure programmes.

At Stantec, we’re growing our Process Engineering capability and are keen to hear from professionals at Senior Process Engineer, Principal Process Engineer and Senior Principal Process Engineer level who want to take on technically challenging work and make a real impact across the UK water sector.

With a strong pipeline of national water projects, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major programmes focused on treatment performance, resilience, water quality, asset optimisation and the development of new infrastructure.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re interested in speaking with Clean Water Process Engineers who want to build on their experience and take a leading role in delivering complex water projects.

Depending on your experience and level, opportunities could include:

  • Leading or contributing to clean water treatment design and process engineering projects.
  • Developing process solutions, calculations, mass balances and treatment assessments.
  • Supporting feasibility, concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning.
  • Working on water treatment, asset optimisation, resilience and infrastructure improvement programmes.
  • Providing technical leadership, design assurance and engineering guidance.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers and contributing to the growth of our Process Engineering capability.
  • Supporting bids, frameworks and the development of new opportunities across the UK water sector.

ABOUT YOU

We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with:

  • Significant experience in clean water process engineering within the UK water sector.
  • Experience across water treatment, process design, asset optimisation or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of clean water treatment processes and engineering principles.
  • Experience delivering or leading technical work within multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical development, particularly at Principal and Senior Principal level.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards
