The Opportunity

The UK water industry is entering a transformative period of investment, with AMP8 driving the need for smarter, more resilient water networks. At Stantec, we're working with water companies across the UK to deliver innovative modelling solutions that improve network performance, reduce leakage and support sustainable investment for the future.

We're looking for a Water Network Modeller to join our growing team in Redditch or Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career within one of the UK's leading water modelling teams, working alongside experienced engineers, digital specialists and multidisciplinary experts on nationally significant clean water projects. With access to industry-leading technologies, structured career development and a strong pipeline of work, you'll gain valuable experience while helping deliver resilient infrastructure that benefits communities across the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Water Network Modeller, you'll support the delivery of clean water modelling projects that help clients better understand, manage and optimise their distribution networks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, calibrating and analysing hydraulic network models using industry-standard software.
  • Supporting projects focused on network optimisation, leakage reduction, pressure management and asset performance.
  • Interpreting modelling results to develop practical engineering solutions and recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across modelling, digital, asset management and design.
  • Preparing technical reports and project deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Continuing to develop your technical capability through mentoring, training and hands-on project experience.

YOUR IMPACT

The work you deliver will help water companies make informed investment decisions that improve network resilience, reduce water loss and provide reliable water supplies for communities across the UK. Through accurate modelling and technical analysis, you'll contribute to sustainable engineering solutions that address the challenges of climate change, population growth and ageing infrastructure.

As part of our national Water Network Modelling team, you'll work on innovative projects that combine engineering expertise with digital technology while building your own technical knowledge and supporting the continued success of our clients.
