The Opportunity

Join our Midlands Masterplanning Team!

We're seeking a talented Senior Urban Design Technician in our Birmingham office. If you're passionate about shaping the future of our cities and communities, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll do:

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support for a variety of projects including major residential and mixed-use development masterplans of up to 10,000 dwellings.
  • Creative Visioning: Develop inspiring visions for new settlements and urban extensions.
  • Design Delivery: Produce high-quality masterplan drawings, design strategies, and detailed illustrations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Client Focus: Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members.

What you'll need:

  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a private sector environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, GIS, and Microsoft Office with a portfolio of recent UK project examples
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and design regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving license (advantageous, not essential)
