The Opportunity

Technology is evolving at pace, creating new opportunities for organisations to transform how they operate, deliver services, and achieve their strategic goals. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to help shape technology strategies and guide the design of scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions that drive business value.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, influencing digital transformation initiatives and helping organisations navigate complex technology landscapes. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, supporting the development of enterprise architectures that enable innovation while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

About the Role

As an Enterprise Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assessing existing technology environments and developing future-state enterprise and solution architectures that support business strategy, operational requirements, and digital transformation goals.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical specialists, and delivery teams, you will evaluate enterprise platforms, cloud services, integrations, applications, and data architectures to ensure technology solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, and aligned with organisational standards.

You will develop technology roadmaps, capability models, and architecture frameworks that provide clear direction for future investment and transformation. This will include assessing technology options, supporting build-versus-buy decisions, and identifying opportunities to optimise existing platforms and adopt emerging technologies.

A key aspect of the role will be translating business requirements into practical technology solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, information management standards, and long-term technology strategies.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the technology landscape that enables organisations to achieve their strategic ambitions. By assessing current capabilities and defining future-state architectures, you will help create technology solutions that support growth, improve efficiency, and enhance operational performance.

Your expertise will guide technology investment decisions, ensuring that platforms, applications, and integrations work together effectively while supporting scalability, resilience, and security. Through your ability to bridge the gap between business and technology, you will help stakeholders understand complex challenges, evaluate options, and make informed decisions that maximise value.

By identifying opportunities for innovation and optimisation, you will contribute to digital transformation programmes that improve ways of working and enable organisations to respond to evolving business needs. Ultimately, your work will provide the architectural foundations that support sustainable, long-term success.

About You

You are an experienced architect with a strong understanding of enterprise technology environments and a passion for designing solutions that align business objectives with technology strategy. You enjoy engaging with stakeholders at all levels and are comfortable navigating both strategic discussions and technical detail.

You will bring:

  • Experience in Enterprise and Solution Architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and integration services
  • Experience designing enterprise application, data, and integration architectures
  • A solid understanding of technology strategy, digital transformation, and architecture governance
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps, capability models, and architecture artefacts
  • The ability to assess technology options and make recommendations that balance business, technical, and commercial considerations
  • Knowledge of data architecture, information management, and enterprise technology standards

Desirable:

  • Experience working within large, complex organisations or major infrastructure programmes
  • Experience supporting investment planning, business case development, and technology governance processes
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices

Most importantly, you bring a strategic mindset, a collaborative approach, and a passion for helping organisations unlock the full value of technology through effective architecture and digital transformation.
